And does the executor or administrator of your father's estate have the contact information for this "legal beneficiary"?

Most definitely.....
It appears that my original message did not post; here are the facts:

My Mother and Father were separated when I was a child. We have not been in touch until since 2011 when I had to notify him of my Mother's death (I am the administrator of her estate).
My Mother and Father never divorced.
My Father has no other issue other than myself.
My Father has "family" from the woman her illegally married while still married to my mother.
The Father passed away in April, and the contact with the family has stopped.

It appears I am the only legitimate heir, but under the circumstances, I doubt that anyone will get in touch with me.

Is there a way I can find out through the courts if there are assets I am entitled to?

Thank you.

How do you know that your father did not leave a will in which he left his assets to someone else?

It's also POSSIBLE that your father DID receive a divorce at some point. And even if he did not, your mother predeceased him. So it's possible his second wife would be considered his legal wife and so a legal heir as well.
