My mother will soon be going into a nursing home. Four years ago she sold me her house for $1.00. I also have power of attorney. The house will need to be sold. She has a life estate. If the house is sold how much $ will the life estate be worth if the house sells for 300k? How much will I have to pay in taxes? Does medicaid take her life estate?
