Hi,
I am from RI. I am 66 and my husband is 72. We own two homes the one that we live in , and a 2 tenement that we rent.
Someone told us that if we went to a lawyer that we could set up a liftetime estate on the home that we are living in by keeping our names on the house (deed), and then add our childrens names, so that if we end up in a nursing home, they could not place a lien on our home. Is this true? If so, what about the rental home?

You might want to contact an estate planning attorney - they should be able to set something up to protect your home .
