What is the name of your state? Michigan

It appears that my grandmother's will cannot be located by neither the family nor the attorney. How does one go about retaining a copy of a will, provided that there is one. Can or do I need to go though "Register of Deeds"?

Thank You.

If you cannot find the original will or a certified copy, grandmother's estate will be probated as intestate. Register of deeds is for property. It may show up as the estate is being inventorized and cleaned out. You never know and can be surprised where the elders put things away to keep safe.
