If someone rewrites their will on Thursday to take their son out of their will and then dies the following week on Friday, is their new will valid? I had heard that a will must be re-written 1 year prior to death or it will revert back to the older will, but have been unable to find the actual laws pertaining to wills written in Louisiana. Also, how long does a person have to contest the will? What constitues "sound mind" for someone who has been having short term memory loss?What is the name of your state?
