Does anyone know what the Michigan probate law says in regards to:

1) What if the value of the estate does not exceed the debts of the deceased? Are the heirs responsible?

2) What the are the rules for appointing an executor of an estate? If both parents are now deceased - is the oldest chilid designated as the executor? Who appoints the executor? What are the rules?

Any help would be appreciated.

:)
