What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? pennsylvania. My sister is the surrogate trustee of my mother's trust. My mother has died. My sister has notified Social Security., Pension, etc.
she seems to be dragging her feet when it comes to starting the distribution process. i.e. property appraisals, investment totals. The market is down so anything that has to do with the market is put aside. Is there a time limit in Pennsylvania to get this moving?

I assume you mean that the sister is "successor trustee."

How long ago did your mother pass away and sister assume the trustee duties?

Is there a time limit in Pennsylvania to get this moving?
Not really. If you are dissatisfied with the trustee's performance, your remedy is to involve the court.
