What is the name of your state?PA
I am 1 0f 11 kids. Father deceased. Mother's estate valued at about 1.1 mil. Questions: Is a trust the only way to avoid probate? Half of value of estate is a house in NJ, other half a house in PA. She is alive and well. Family wants to keep house in NJ. Mom lives in house in PA. Is a trust best way to protect assets and avoid taxes (state and Inher.)? Living Trust? Thanks.

Get your mother to an estate attorney pronto. With 11 children, the trust is best.
