My mother passed away a few weeks ago. She left one daughter,(me) and two sons. Aparently she had no will. She had a husband, not the father of her children.
My Question is this. Do the Children have any legal right to anything that belonged to her, even though her husband is still alive?
The things in question are not of any monetary value to speak of but personal things we gave to her while she was alive. The husband is being very unco-operative even though nothing was brought up until a respectful time had passed, and his feelings were taken into consideration. The reverse is not true on his part.
I am on a disability income, and have nowhere to turn for help.
I live in Oregon.
