Hello. My husband, and his siblings had some money left to them, by their fathers, mother's, sister. Please tell me that made sense...
The woman who left them the money was said to have passed away in Norfolk, VA. What they are wanting to know, is, How can they go about finding out about their inheritance, and/or the will. It has been said several times on different occasions, that they are all supposed to recieve it when they turned of the age 35. It was also said that their mom, who passed away about 10 years ago, was sort of the "contact" person for the lawyers, to keep in contact with the family. Thank you for helping if you can!
Sincerely,
The Prior Family

You are saying that money from a paternal grandmother's sister was to have been left to your husband and his siblings. That could be, particularly if she did not have children of her own. So far it makes sense.

If she lived and died in Norfolk, VA, and she had a Will, the Will would likely have been filed in the probate court of the county in which Norfolk is located, and be a matter of public record. That would list who here beneficiaries were and the terms of any trusts established IN THE WILL for them, and the attorneys involved.

Of course if she had created a Trust before dying, such as a living trust, it will be harder to find. First step is the courthouse in Norfolk.
