What is the name of your state? NY

Is there any law that says a witness to an American will must be a US citizen?

Can a will be rendered invalid if one of the witnesses was a non-citizen, even if his or her command of English was good?

How about if the witness doesn't speak English (assuming the will was written in English and the testator, attorney and other witness were all English-speakers)?

Thanks

No, there is no such law. Citizenship has no bearing on the issues you describe.

Comprehension of English is not required to witness a signature. Isn't it possible the person may understand English even though they don't speak it?
