N.J.
My grandmother named several inheritors. Everything is ready to be distributed and all parties have received accounting records from the executor. All but one party has signed off in agreement. The party who has not signed off has not formally contested the will and most likely will not do so (due to eccentricity? bipolar.....who knows? has not talked to anyone for years). Now it will have to go before a judge for a formal disbursement proceeding. What can we expect? Will the uncooperative party's share be deposited into an "unclaimed property" account with the state? This person does not live in NJ.
