In the State of Indiana, can an individual go to the
guardianship court with a petition or do you have to
be represented by counsel? We had an attorney, but feel
that we have been given bad legal advice and would like
to pursue this on our own.
Thank you

You are not required to use an attorney and MAY be able to do it without one, but it makes things go a lot faster and acoids mental distress, and if there is a contest over who the guardian should be, you'd need a lawyer.
