Hi, im from North Carolina. My mom just recently passed away in January, she was never married and im her only son. I just found out from my aunts daughter that my mom left me a trust fund that had terms i had to follow before i can get it. I must go to rehab and complete it and stay out of trouble for 6 months afterwards, if i dont follow them rules within 2 yrs of her death, the money goes to my aunt. My aunt has changed her # since ive found out about this and will not contact me. She hasnt mentioned one word of this since mom died, and her daughter just recently found out i was living in a homeless shelter and felt soo bad she ratted out her own mom. What options do i have?
My mom was a retired police captain here in lumberton, nc . She drawed retirement, social security, and disability.

Thanks...

Start interviewing trust attorneys until you find one willing to help you. Your attorney can get a copy of the trust and an accounting statement.
