I'm from Pennsylvania and I was wondering what an Executor of a will can do before the will is probated? Or the better question is what CAN'T the Executor of a will do before probate? For example, if the Executor is also the beneficiary of the estate can he draw money from checking accounts of the deceased and spend or move that money at his discretion even though the will has not been probated?

Visit a local library and/or bookstore to get a copy of the book "How to Settle An Estate" in which you will find some very practical advice. If the estate is large enough to where your fee would be large enough to hire the services of an attorney, you may want to consider hiring a probate/estate attorney to advise you on the proper course to follow.
