my husband's father lived in texas. he passed away earlier this month. he did not have a will, however he named my husband benificiary on several insurance policies. we would like to know if the insurance policies need to be turned over to the attorney along with the stocks, cd's and the house or does my husband just need to take care of the insurance policies himself?

DEAR MEMORIES:

Insurance policies ARE NOT considered part of the estate, but separate from it. Your husband can handle that himself.
