Father divorced 12 years ago - married second wife 6 years ago - divorced second wife after 4 months - remarried second wife 1 month before he died of heart attack.

My brother and I had a rough verbal agreement to split estate 3 ways with her(Second wife, brother and me). That was a month ago. Last night my brother called me and said she wanted everything.

No will left.

What to do?

DEAR DOILING:

Unfortunately there is not much you can do.

Minnesota probate law favors the spouse, and she is entitled to get everything. Apparently she has consulted with a lawyer.

It's too bad that your father didn't place enough importance on having a will prepared.

SINCERELY,
