a family member died intestate in maryland. will i be required to file for executor and probate the decedent's estate if their total assests are under $20,000?:confused:

Most states have a simplified procedure for small estates. I am not an MD lawyer and don't know the amount, but call the probate court and ask.

Also, sometimes even simple procedures are a hassle and getting it done by a lawyer may not be very expensive.
