What is the name of your state?Georgia

My mother recently passed away without a will. Prior to her passing she liquidated all of her assets into cash, POD cod's, and a life insurance policy. She does not have any debts except a medical bill which we are taking care of and the funeral expenses have been paid. There are no family squabbles concerning anything of property or monetary value. Is this a situation for a probate court? Sorry the whole "probate" thing is a little fuzzy to me. :) Thanks.

Q: Is this a situation for a probate court?

A: If she has NO assets in her name alone and everyone agrees and the bills are being paid, then there is nothing to probate and you do not have to mess with it.
