What is the name of your state? WI

My Father recently passed away leaving his wife, my Mom. Their combined estate contains property and investments worth a good deal.
The property is almost all titled in both their names.
Most of the investments are joint tenancy or IRAs with survivor rights.
I am the only child and executor, so obviously, we don't expect any challenges to the estate. They don't have any major debts.
There is a will which leaves everything to my Mom.
Is it still necessary to go through Probate?
In a case like this would a lawyer be necessary (or prudent)?

Thanks in Advance!

I'm not a lawyer, but

I'd say go ahead and do it.

My dad died two years ago and everything was pretty much the same as yours.

Yes, you should have a lawyer do it. They can cut thru any red tape there might be. Yes, you should go ahead and file probate.

You never know what will jump up and bite you years later.
