I live in Washington State, a community property state.
My dad left no will. Does my mother have to take his estate through probate? Real Estate and real property are part of the estate.

Thanks for your help.

In addition to his wife/your mother, you and your siblings may also be heirs. Check out "state resources" on the Yellow Bar on top, look at Washington State Laws, and intestate succession to see who gets what.
