i live in buffalo new york, my parents are quit claiming their property to me. i am 1 of four adult children. they want to make their will that the property can not be sold until their death and that all four must sign off to be sold and until sold myself or my brother be allowed to live in the home.

the reason for quit claim is for health insurance.

my father was never a mortgage holder, the property was my grandmothers and my mothers, with the primary mortgage holder being my grandmother, when she died they quit claimed him to the property.

is inheritance seperate property? if i were to get divorced, can this be included as joint property where my husband has a claim to.
