Does a quitclaim for a home in Ohio have to be signed and notarized in Ohio or can it be signed and notarized in the State of Virginia, which is were the owner lives. Also, how do you quitclaim to more than one person on the quitclaim deed? Can everyones name & address be listed on a separate sheet to be filed with the quitclaim deed and therefore referenced on the "...release and quitclaim unto" line?

Thank you!

A deed can be notarized in any state, but it sometimes is more complicated in terms of filing an out of state notarized deed -- in some places a "notorial flag" is needed from the county or state government attesting to the fact that the notary was lawfully empowered to administer oaths.

Quitclaiming to many people raises the question as to whether you are giving the property to them as tenants in common or jointly. But if possible put everything on single page to make it easier to record the document.
