thank you so much for your prompt reply. crazy and greedy sister had manipulated and denied contact with mom-not only from us but relatives and neighbors of 45 years. we tried to contact throughout the years and two years ago tried again-mom said she would have to talk to sister about talking to us first-never heard back-tried to call but sister had phone disconnected.
so we really have no way of getting any of the information that would be helpful.
thank you for your help. at least we have a place to begin.

DEAR MALYSSAM:

In my previous posting to you, I forgot to mention something.

When you go to the courthouse to look at the probate file, try to ask the probate court clerk if it is a requirement in that county that executors post a bond. If the answer is yes, then you should also watch in the probate file to see if there is any evidence that an executors bond (premium) was paid. In case you can prove that the investment you were looking for was stolen from you (or other monies that were your share of the inheritance), then you can file a claim with the bond insurance company to recover that money or file a lawsuit against the executor to get him/her to pay it back.

SINCERELY,

advisor
