Right of Survivorship-Liability

My mother and I own a home in NJ. Both oun names are on the deed with right of survivorship. She recently died. The house was her only asset. She is receiving hospital bills from a year ago. Can the hospital (or any creditor) put a claim on the house? Do I need to transfer the deed into my name?
