undefinedWhat is the name of your state? MI

Does anyone know if a special needs trust is only good for your children? I have a terminally ill brother, and my husband and I have no children at this time. My brother will lose his SSI if he has over 2000.00 in assets. We have an estate worth over 500,000.00. Will a special needs trust protect us?
