What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WI

Four siblings own property together that they acquired when their parents died. If one of the siblings dies, is their spouse entitled to the late sibling's share of the property or is it now split three ways?

Unless the property is someone held in a trust or some pre-arrangement, the fate of the decreased siblings 1/4 interest in the property will be determined by the either the deceased's will (if he has one) or the laws of intestacy in WI. It is not going to evaporate, it is part of the deceased's estate.
