Apparently, a judge felt that was appropriate. Did he say why? Did your attorney explain why? What is it you think should happen?

You didn't ask a question, but I'm going to assume that you want this sort of info: http://www.nycourts.gov/courts/nyc/family/faqs_appeals.shtml. The window of time to appeal is 30 days of receipt of the order.
