My brother recently died in Florida. He died without a will and without assets that had value. He had a car that he owed $4000 on but was worth $2000. Through some maneuvering, his ex-wife had possesion and was said to be trying to sell it. My father is the next of kin and asked her to just let the car go back to the bank. My father has no intention of going to probate due to the circumstances of the estate (no assets and considerable debts). The ex-wife was benficiary on the life insurance and decided to pay off the car to the bank. How do we now transfer the title from the estate to her?
