What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Maine
My Aunt and Uncle had a inter-vivos trust my uncle died in 2005 and my aunt died in 2007 they also had a will our father died and my sister and I are heirs to their estates we are getting our fathers share. They each have their own estate everything was put into their trust they had no real estate or car just a few family heirlooms. the reason for this is so it wouldn't have to go through probate. we are heirs but not beneficiarys. what is the difference. are we going to get anything? their trust is 2 million.
