trust fund disbursements

Just Wondering
My Mother has a spendthrift type trust
how long does it normally take to process
until she receives her first disbursement

I know probate can last for 6-12 months

but how long does it take to process
a trust fund ?
its been 6 months and I think her trustee
is taking to long.

It depends completely on the nature and terms of the trust. Are distributions mandatory or discretionary? Is this a trust being administered after the death of the creator? If so, was the estate taxable?
