my boyfriend and i plan to buy a home then get married. the home will only be under his name. his daughter is six years old and is his only legal heir. if something were to happen to him will his ex-wife get the home because she has legal custody of there daughter who is not of legal age.

If he has no will leaving the house to you, his daughter would inherit ll his assets, including the house, and the court would appoint someone as his estate's administrator. That person probably would sell the house and have the money held fo the child until she is 18. If he's smart, he'd get a will prepared by a lawyer.
