North Carolina-Background: a.When my mother remarried, in her pre-nup her husband released all rights and claim to her real property if she dies first. b.She lives in the house of her husband. c.Her house, she rents out, she owes about
$12k on it. d.She has a will, it states that all her real and personal property go 50/50 to my brother and I. Question: Would there be any benefit for my brother and I to be listed as co-owners on the deed of trust with her (three owners instead of one) before she dies?
