I'm in TX. My grandmothers will states that some property she owned would go to her children and then to her children's children upon her, or thier, passing. She has passed away (1975), and her land divided between her children. My mother inherited part of the land. Upon her passing, my dad has been paying all the taxes, etc. for the land (she passed 3 years ago). In my moms will, it was very basic and left everything to my dad. Do I have legal ground that this property should be mine, or not? My grandmother stated it in her will that way so that the property would stay in the direct decendants line, not spouses, or inlaws, stepkids, etc. There are several other plats of land that have gone from grandmother's children to their children upon passing, none of them have stayed with the spouse, they have all gone to the children. Help, I don't know if I have any legal ground with thinking it should be mine or not......
Thank you in advance
