Will vs Trust

Can a will override a trust? I would like to make provisions for loved ones but am the recipient of a "tight" trust. It is very restrictive and any requests for assistance must be approved by a discretionary committee. It's managed by an investment group and large bank.

You can't (successfully) include assets in your will that are not subject to probate.
