will I be entitled to any compensation after I am released from medical care? That depends. You don't get some sort of "bonus" by the mere fact of havin been injured.

Do you only recieved compensation if you are permently disabled? An injured individual who has reached "end of healing" who is left with any degree of permanent impairment is typically entitled to a permanent partial disability settlement. The amount varies depending upon the degree of impairment. Ex: loosing the tip of one's finger vs. the entire hand.
