What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MD

My boyfriend whos been out of work for 4 months because of a crushing injury was allowed back to work on light duty with restrictions. He's a full time employee. He was called in the office and cut down from 5 days a week to 4, and hours cut from 35 to 16.

Legally can they do this?

We've had 2 other employees hurt as well, also on light duty, but their hours havent been cut, and they've received their full 40.

Any advice would be appreciated
