What is the name of your state? CA

I was working as a software engg for a consulting company as a salaried employee (H1 visa).I joined in the month of april'2002.
In the month of july the client i was working with was about to declare for bankruptcy as a result my comany forced me to sign a agreement which stated that i will get 1/2 of my salary every month and another 1/2 when my company gets paid from client as a bonus.
unfortunately my client did declare bankrupcy and as a result the other 1/2 of my salary(so called bonus) was withheld.
Now i joined another company but still my dues with them remains
intact.
Can anyone plz let me know the validity of the contract ..?
or what should be my possible course of action to get my dues..?

Thx

Not having seen it, no one here can evaluate the validity of your contract. You will need to show it to a local attorney.
