Damages

Virginia

An employee is driving a company vehicle, gets in an accident and is then found by the police to have been drinking. Can the company make the employee pay for the damages to the vehicle?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Yes and they can make him pay for the damage to the other vehicle that is not covered by their insurance.

And if the employee trys to submit a workers comp claim, count on it being deined.

Yes it is possible. The employee will have to pay for the damage, and will not get any insurance claim also from the company.
