I am in California and am currently (sort of) on workers comp. Twice now, the insurance carrier has cut off payment benefits without notifying me at all.

My lawyer (his legal assistant rather-- I only get to speak to my lawyer at court) will not call me back. Ever.

So, in short, the check is 10 days late; rents due today; to re-RE-open an SDI case I need the notice (that tells me I am being cut off and why) that never seems to come. I am starting to feel like this is retaliatory.

Here is the question: Is there something called "Due Process" that prohibits the discontinuation of workers comp payments without even notifying me or my lawyer?

Please Help!
