What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee

Was hurt at work. Seen by Dr. who put me out of work due to back injury. Insurance adjuster talked Dr into giving me restrictions so that I could continue to work.
At work yesterday I was told to do something that was in direct violation of my light duty restrictions. I refused to do the work. One of the restrictions is that I am not to lift anything more than 10 pounds. I was asked to repeated lift something that was at least 20 pounds multiple times.
Because I refused to do the worked based on my Dr's light duty restrictions I was sent home.
Was I within my rights? Can they force me to do work that the dr says I can not do?
