Is this a Hipaa ViolationWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado I had an accident at work and have been on Workman's Comp, apparently while I was out the Director of HR and my Manager went under my desk to try and find out what had happened in that process they made several comments to other staff members giving that impression that the accident was bogus. Because of the comments to fellow employees would this be considered a Hipaa violation. By the way I work for a very large hospital organization and these people are well aware of the Hipaa rules. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

| His opinion about the circumstances of your accident is not medical information and so is not addressed by HIPAA.

| Additionally, workers compensation issues are expressly and by statute exempt from HIPAA. |
