What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington state

I am not a party to a case but I've been asked this by someone.

Would a person's most recent employer fight an industrial injury case but not fight an occupational disease case? Why?

Does time off compensation (basically money for not being able to work) come into play?

The employer is medium sized so they are represented by their own counsel and the state worker's comp (Labor and Industries) is also represented.

Employer would fight harder for an industrial injury case because it gets charged more by worker's comp than an occupational disease case.
