Question

lawyer or not?

What is the name of your state?georgia
I was injured in two falls at work. One in nov. one in dec. There has been hard feelings/no contact between myself and the owner of the company since my second fall, except he sent another employee to retrieve the paint equipment and my cell phone the day of my second accident. I had only been to the er and not filed wc at that time(dec 22) On dec 28 I was not getting better so through another employee, I had an appt made with the wc doctor. I was drug screened and told to wait in the waiting room until I cleared the drug screen. After 30 min. the dr. saw me and gave me meds and ordered x-rays and another appt. On my next appt. I had to wait 3 hrs before I was seen because they could not get hold of the "contact person" to authorize the visit. Eventually, I was seen and given stronger meds and told I would probably need physical therapy, ordered off work, and given another appt. In the meantime, another lab called to tell me trace amts of marijuana were found in my urine and they would have to tell the owner of the company. Meanwhile, two days later the "contact lady calls and sets up an appt to come to my home. I am rather overwhelmed and want to contact a lawyer but Im afraid to piss anyone off after the lab called, because treatment goes on. Is a secondary test admissable? I think maybe the owner is not telling wc because if they dont pay he has to. I am really hurt, no dr has disputed that, but this secondary lab test where they found "trace amounts" of marijuana scares the hell out of me. should I just take whatever they give me so as not to rock the boat?

If I were you I would contact a workman's comp attorney in your area. In my opinion I also would not meet with anybody but your doctors and a lawyer. Get copy's of all your doctor visits when your there also

doubletalk from dr

georgia.
I guess my original question is moot, as treatment goes on and the contact lady will do a home visit monday to sign me up for a weekly check(I suppose) Now my question is as follows: Do I have a right to see another dr?
On my visit yesterday, he asked me how was I feeling, I told him worse in some respects. His response was, "oh come on Wayne, The Xrays show your back isnt broke, its muscular.
Then, in the same conversation, he said maybe I should try to work it out. I replied that I do the exercising he prescribed. He responded by saying Im probably aggravating the injury. ?????????????
I then told him my arms go numb. He said, you never complained about that on your previos visits, I told him au contraire, I have told of this symptom on each visit. Then he opened my file and said that he saw that I have.
I also told him the percocet made me very jittery and asked for a different pain med. His reply, Man, im giving you the GOOD stuff, quit complaining. I dont want the"good" stuff, I want to be healed.
No matter what I answer its the wrong thing, he doesnt open my file and seems angry I say Im not better. Advice please, should I blow off my next appt till I can sign with this attny? His parting words were "if you are not better when I see you again, I will refer you to physical therapy, and they will HURT you****************************.

Don't blow off your appointment's. If you blow off your doctor visits that will look bad on you. I would also seek advice from a attorney ASAP.
