What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York.

My Large non profit employer asks me to lend outside contractors our ladders. Am I personally liable if someone gets hurt? I live in upstate NY and work in NYC.

Thank you for your time!

Could you as an employee be held personally liable if someone gets hurt on a ladder you lend to them?

Possibly. So possibly could be your employer. So possibly could be the ladder manufacturer.

It depends on the facts that are presented. Many factors are looked at when determining liability.
