modifyed duty but no longer working

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I was let go from my job last year but still on workers comp, my workers comp doc put back on modifed duty for 8 hrs even though i not working for the company no anymore. Iwas wonderimg they are suppose offer me a vocher instead.

A voucher for what? who? the employer?

Do you have permanent work restrictions? I believe the vouchers are for retraining assistance, and would only be available if you have permanent work restrictions that would preclude you from working in employment similar to what you were doing when you were injured.
