What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

I was injured on a Job on Nov of 2011 and I have been through hell! I reported the injury and I was scheduled with a Doctor who refused to see me. They claimed they had not received the fax for billing from the Insurance company! So I asked the adjuster is there anywhere you can get me? I was supposed to have transportation setup...But they called and canceled! The adjuster finally sent me to an emergency care facility whom basically did nothing! That Doctor said you need to go to an orthapedic surgeon. So after weeks of time the adjuster again set me up with a family medicine center out if my local town about a 40 minute drive! Then a few days before called me and said I think it would be better for you to go to an Orthapedic doctor! So again it took more weeks to get in there. Finally in front of the Doctor while trying to explain the accident and the places I was having pain! The Doctor screams STOP THAT IS ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!! So I shutup.....he said here is what I am going to do I want you to go do 8 weeks of physical therapy 3 times a week! I was thinking great that doesn't help the pain at all!! I went through quite a few weeks of physical therapy and my therapist discovered something I was describing as nerve damage from my back! So I wound back up with this doctor again he sent me for 3 MRI's. I was finally getting somewhere I thought.....it took weeks to get back in to hear what the MRI said.....on the in between I knew a Radiologist and had a disc of the MRI's too. So I sent it off to them and they gave me a reading of it so I knew what it said before I got back to this Doctor. While sitting there in front of him he said this and this is wrong with your knees.....and your back is fine!.....I said that is not true and told him about the MRI firm I had read the disc! He was speechless! I d caught him in a lie! I asked for a copy of the paperwork he had and it stated there were two bulging disc in my back! at L4 and L5. He no longer treated me from there on.....I wound up hiring a lawyer and I have been through hell! Is there anyway I can file medical malpractice against this Doctor???? I basically have been given up on and my back never treated at all! We have finally had to give up and my right leg and back and foot are messed up to this day! I will never be able to work again! Can some one please help me here??

what damages did his very short lived lie (as in a matter if minutes) cause you?
The insurance company consistently refused to treat me for the back injury! Finally the doctor that did end up with dealing with this was never given any notes or info previous so he knew nothing. I was eventually referred to a pain managment specialist this week who was associated with this same doctor in the same building and the same office who when he got with me refused to treat me said I am not gonna take you as a patient and I am not gonna treat you! What I am wanting to know is there anything further that can be done cause my Lawyer said this was real bad! He strongly urged me to take the very low settlement. I have signed nothing and I feel like this settlement is a joke! I am messed up so bad that I will be disabled the rest of my life! My Doctor that finally ended up with me admitted to me that I would be messed up the rest of my life! He even admits something has been very wrong with all this that has went on like there is something they are trying to cover up referring to the insurance company!

It's unclear whether this doctor was even supposed to be treating you or if he was just evaluating you for the WC people.

It's never a good idea to seek treatment from doctors that an insurance company directs you to. Always find your own doctors.

You have to admit this all sounds very screwy am I wrong?
So what do I do from here file disability? Basically live a life that is pointless......smh! Let this be a note to those of you who read this WC people are not your friends and they do not have your best interest at heart all you are is a number and at this point just someone they want to discard! I can honestly say I have never seen a more evil bunch of people than what I have dealt with from WC they only care about getting rid of you for the least amount of money possible! Is there not some company that governs companies like these? If so does anyone have their number?

I didn't know that you could seek out your own doctors with Workers Comp many of us don't know that**************This has been a real lesson in life!

You have a lawyer and I assume you have a doctor now. Listen to them.

The lawyer decided to chase money me telling him I wanted to get better! The Doctor I have now admits there is something wrong with the way this was all handled!
So the lawyer sends me to a Doctor he chose and the doctor being a pain management doctor refused to take me cause he is affiliated with the 1st. Doctor hence the reason I posted this in the first place!! So back to the question I asked is there no one who regulates the WC insurance company so I can report this to them!

I'm not sure you understand. Medmal cases are not handled by WC people.

!

You absolutely lost me on that comment. I understand Medical Malpractice suits are not handled by workers comp. What I am saying is The insurance company has absolutely done everything they could to undermine this in every way possible! They have done everything possible to keep from dealing with my spine! I want to report the Insurance company to the proper regulation. The Doctor I finally ended up with was never allowed to treat my spine! We all know what went on here was wrong! My lawyer chose a final Doctor to try to get me help! That Doctor was affiliated with the first doctor who basically tried to throw me off on the start of all this.
So once I got to the Pain management Doctor and they put me in their system he refused to treat me and was a total prick about it all! My lawyer made a bad choice in Doctors. I had gotten aggravated with the law firm cause they were not responding to anything and I was gonna Fire them from the case and find a different lawyer!
Once that Doctor refused to treat me he told me this was very bad! Saying that this insurance company would basically never pay me anything for my compensation! I am not fully sure if he is telling the truth. What I have seen from all this basically makes me think he probably just wanted to shake me from his case load anyway. So I basically am getting nothing from this and being left as a total disabled person for absolutely nothing! Can I fire this lawyer and get away with it? Then from there pursue this further trying to uncover what this insurance company is trying to cover up! There is more to this someone is trying to protect their rear end cause this particular night that this all went on I was basically left to pull the work of two men and wound up really injured!!

Okay. You need to calm down, because you're coming across as hysterical with all of the exclamation points. We know you're frustrated, but this isn't a venting board for you.
