I work for a private company and there are numerous dangerous potholes in the yard. This has been brought up to management but because of the cost they have not done anything to fix them. It is only a matter of time until someone gets hurt. Is this grounds for negligence?

As things stand, no. You don't get to sue based on what might happen in future.

Just for the heck of it have you checked with your city to learn if this parking areas surface condition MIGHT be regulated by a city ordinance ?
