What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

Not sure where this question belongs. Being on call overnight is a job requirement (RN surgery dept) where I work. My employer won't provide a secure place to sleep, but has many secure sleep rooms for others (med residents, md's, radiology, ultrasound etc). Ive been offered empty patient rooms (which have doors impossible to secure) for sleep. If something happened while on call in this situation (such as assault) would my employer be legally liable in any way since night call is a required part of my job?

Thanks for any info! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
