What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?
I live in Virginia but this concerns a case in California. In 1996 my husband died and in 1998 I received the death benefit payment from Calif W/C. Recently I was reading the w/c manual and I see that I was actually entitled to support for my then minor children. THe case is closed with the state, but is the attorney in anyway responsible for not informing me of this compensation due to me - is there any recourse for me , as this could amount to $250-$300K for me since I had 4 minor children at the time.
